Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Molding Cog Thread Arrow-Bi?
A PDO lifting thread with the largest, strongest flat arrowhead bi-directional barbs, made by a molding-press method for long-term lift, supplied 10ea per pack.
How is molding different from a cut cog thread?
Molding threads are made by a molding-press method rather than cutting the filament, producing stronger barbs and a longer-lasting tightening effect.
How long does the effect last?
A long-term lifting effect of 1 to 5 years depending on the case; as a PDO thread, new collagen helps maintain the result.
Where is it applied?
The middle and lower third of the face, neck, chest and for body lifting, by a licensed practitioner.
What needle does it use?
A W-type Cannula, suited to thicker threads.
What models are available?
2 models: 19G 100mm/150mm (mid-lower face/neck) and 18G 100mm/150mm (body/heaviest tissue), both with W-type Cannula.
These are the strongest threads I have worked with. The 18G is excellent for body lifting. The molding-press barbs are noticeably different from cut threads. The W-type cannula makes insertion smooth.
The Molding Cog Arrow-Bi threads are in a league of their own. The flat arrowhead barbs provide incredible holding power. I use the 19G for facial lifting and the result lasts much longer than standard cog threads. Patients love the longevity.
Impressive long-term results with these threads. My patients maintain lift well past the 1-year mark. The arrowhead design really anchors tissue firmly. Worth the higher price point for the durability.
